I’m Maddie — the Madhatter’s Twin.
He got the hat. I got the cookies.
We both took the tea. Sharing is a twin thing.
Especially sharing dreams.

A dream is not reality. (Or so it is said.) But who’s to say which is which?

And this? This is my table, my little corner of the world.
The teacups may wobble, some teapots are chipped,
the chairs rarely match, but try their best to be comfortable
and the biscuits occasionally talk back, sometimes some smack with the cake,
but with a delightful breeze here, the steam of delicious liquids,
tucked away between the ticking of the clock and faint smells of foods,
you’ll find a safe space with always always a place for you.

Here, you can leave your “normal” at the door.
If you can’t find it again later… well… sorry. Or you’re welcome.
Dealer’s choice. Depending on the flavor of crazy you you prefer.

I’m not crazy. My reality is just different from yours.

Here, your laughter is welcome. Your tears are welcome too.
You don’t have to earn your seat — you already belong.

I often found myself on the other side … as it were.

For those who need a pause. For those who crave a story.
For the weary, the curious, the slightly-lost and the gloriously odd.
For those who’ve been told they’re “too much” or “not enough”
sometimes in the very same breath or not five heartbeats apart.

Let’s pour you a story, take a cookie (or three),
stay awhile and share some words or ideas,
or sit in the sort of quiet that feels like an embrace.

Because in this corner, we may be mad…
but we’re also safe, seen and exactly where we’re meant to be.
